I am looking for a trailer hitch for my jeep, and keep seeing them listed for "downsize, not full size cherokees." Which of these categories does the XJ fall under?

Yours is small or "Downsize" if you want to call it that.
The Full size cherokees SJ or FSJ are the big ones. XJ's are the "small" cherokees.
