My 1998 XJ came up with a check engine light for the trans. P0700, whats this have to do with?

This is what my 2000 FSM came up with... It should be the same general DTC.
EATX Controller DTC Present
This SBEC III or JTEC DTC indicates that the EATX or
Aisin controller has an active fault and has illuminated the
MIL via a CCD (EATX) or SCI (Aisin) message. The
specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via CCD or
from the Aisin via ISO-9141.
If you don't know what EATX is it'd Electronic Automatic Transmission.
Need a scanner that can talk to Tranny, Probably Dealer??
