wrong injectors?

my brother changed the injectors on our 90 cherokee and I think they gave him the injectors for a 91. would this cause the jeep to dump massive amounts of fuel. the smog test showed we are at over 3 times the limit on hc.
I work at a salvage yard is there any other injectors I can use other than ones off a 87-90 4.0?

unless you can find something off a ford mustang, there are threads about this...the only ones I know of are what you just hit on.

The orange top Ford Mustang 5.0 19lb/hr injectors work perfectly on a Renix 4.0.

I put them in last night and I think it may have fixed the Issue.
