How much longer 8.25 pinion vs. D44 pinion? Also I had a thought!

Is it possible to tilt a rear axle just like many 4x4 trucks ?
I mean if you look at a Dodge or a Ford (heavy duty) from the side you will notice that leaf spings do not run parallel to the frame and this axle perches a relatively tilted toward the front. I think that is how "big brothers" fight axle wrap even when using factory 2-3 inch blocks!!!
Anyone ever thought about it?

The 8.25 is about 1/4" longer than the D44.Im not sure where youre going with the rest,big trucks dont worry about axle wrap due to their heavy spring rates!
