97' XJ Fuel Pump Install...(did search)

Any tips? I will also be installing a new fuel filter. Does the filter have any funky hose connections that need a special tool? I will be doing the pump install myself with weekend mechanic tools. Thanks for any help.

The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly, which is in the gas tank, that you have to drop to access the fuel pump. Here's a pretty good link to get you started...

Get the tank as empty as you can before dropping it. Even with half a tank that sucker is HEAVY and squirrely once it starts sloshing around..
