if your talking about the front suspension bumpstops, they are bolted in, I used a pipe wrench to take mine off.

They are welded on,just pull the bumpstop itself out.

Some are welded and some are bolted. It seems to be random. I have a 98 XJ Sport and they were welded, where some people with 98's have them bolted. That was a pain because I was installing ACOS at the time.
