Cleaning RENIX throttle body?

I want to clean my 90" RENIX throttle body really good before I put my motor back together and start it. If I remove the IAC and TPS can I submerse the TB in carb cleaner and soak it, or will damage the butterfly seals?

It sounds like a dumb question, but I don't want to screw up this TB.

Also any body got any suggestions on giving the EGR valve's passage a good cleaning without hurting it?

The intake is all the way tore down so its getting a good soaking now and the injectors have been professionally cleaned and tested and new rubber installed.

The RENIX head has been completly reworked and Magnafluxed, Its good to go.

I would not put the throttle body in carb cleaner, just get a can of throttle body cleaner and a tooth brush, and clean that way, it is way safer.

Use only electrical parts cleaner for the electrial stuff.
