auxillary fan broken , any other cars i can pull one from?

Hello I have a 93 xj, 6cyl, the aux fan decided to grenade itself and I am having a tough time finding one at a local junkyard (everyone else has already pulled them lol)


Are there any other vehicles that may have an appropriate donor part?

I'm surprised your having trouble finding a used. Did you try Western Recycling on Federal. They have alot of XJ's and new one come in all the time.

I don't know of another vehicle that is a puller fan and would have the unique demensions of the XJ radiator.

Can't say for certain, but I have heard of 3.8L Ford Taurus fans being used as replacement on XJ's... Not sure if thats a replacement for the clutch fan or the aux fan tho. It may not work for your situation.

taurus fans are elctric, supposedly very powerful and have two speeds. Minor modifications to fit.

I just had the same problem with my fan.
stealership wanted $250, cheap aftermarket was $125...

$50 delivered to the door in two days...
Thats also the 97-01 style.
look under A/C condenser fan
