It sounds like my chain a broken...I'm looking at the FSM and it has how to overhaul the TC but not hot to just replace the chain. Is is an option to just replace the chain? If so can it be done with the TC in the car?

i'm not sure about replacing the chain and nothing else (as far as wear), but yes, you can take apart the tc while it is under the xj. many of us do it when installing a SYE kit
