bumpstops cut or not?

i'm ready to install the new springs for my 6.5 inch lift was wondering if i should cut the bumpstops.thanks for the help the past couple of moths.

i'd like to know your reasoning for cutting them?

i thought it would give me more upward travel as i plan on cutting the fenders quite a bit

i've never heard of anyone needed to cut the bumpstops for more uptravel......but maybe i am wrong.

personally, i would leave them as is and flex it out with your new springs to see what you need to do......then make a decision

once you install your lift and flex it out you will find that you actually need the bump stop extended due to the increase in tires size, unless you want to eat your fender. the rule of thumb is to add about an inch of bump stop for every inch of lift so your springs will last longer.
