a/c vacuum problems

OK, just ran a search and didn't see anything on this one so here goes.

A/C runs cold with no problems except this one, pressing the throttle down seems to take away vacuum form the unit and on high cool the air goes away from the front vents and comes out the defroster. do I have a vacuum controller bellows problem?:repair:

Check the vacumn canister for leaks, The leak most of the time is on the ball itself or on the vacumn lines behind the battey that go bad. You will find the canister behind the front bumper IIRC, Good Luck

Had this problem on one of my XJ's. Had a vacuum leak where one of the hoses hook up to the vacuum canister. It was an easy fix.
