Dave Turner used to do well with his XJ's in SCCA Pro Rally . He's moved on to other things now, but his shop could help you out if you're serious.

There was a guy over on Jeeps Unlimited by the name of Kreature that used to rally race his XJ. Its been a while since I heard anything from him. What I remember, he had 30s, 3" of lift with stiff springs, and bigger sway bars, 4.56s and a rear detroit. Might try a search over there in the Speed Freaks section.
