Today, my '99 Classic did something strange. I was driving to work and my airbag light lit, then the CHECK ENGINE light lit, I noticed the tach and speedo were not working, and then noticed the odometer was reading "no bu5".

The XJ never missed a beat the other guages seemed to be functioning.

Any ideas??

Thanks in advance

Common problem in that year. It usually means the connector to the PCB the gauges are mounted to isn't making contact again. Remove it, clean the contacts, make sure the connection is good, and you should be OK. Search for the specifics on doing this; it's been covered a lot.

Thanks. I did a couple quick searches originally, but didn't find anything. I'll dig into it next weekend.
