d44 gear ratio

Hi guys I got a Dana 44 out of a 88 xj with 4.0 and auto and was wondering if 3.54 was the ratio or if 3.73 was i searched and it seems it should be the 3.54

I have a set of 3.55 gears for my dana 30 will theyy work with a 3.54 set in the rear?

Could be, but really, you need to visually look at either the ring and pinion themselves, or atleast look at the tag on the diff cover bolts to know.

If the rear is in fact 3.54, yes 3.55 will work on the front.

The '88 XJ only had two ratios with the 4.0L -- 3.07 with the 5-speed and 3.54 with the automatic.
