Headlight Harness

Looking on purchasing a harness rather than making it, mainly cause I know nothing with it comes to electricals. I know IPF sells a harness, but its a little too pricey, I got a link here that sells it for $35ish, has anyone experienced with this harness?

I emailed them on their h4 kit and they said that, "This is the
Honda H4 so when you high beam, your low beams turns off."

Is there any other cheap places I can pick up a harness? Or is the IPF really worth it?

I dunno - looks a little lightweight to me, but there's no mention of wire gages. Also, I'm not sure I like the look of those relays - I don't like having to use someone's service parts specifically.

If you're not in a huge hurry about it, I should have parts in to get a prototype going this week, install and "cycle" it this week-end, and have it ready for release in a month or so. I'm designing it to use standard relays and fuzes, handle 200W per bulb, and requiring no electrical know-how to install - plug and play. The only connections you'll need to make are to plug it into a headlamp plug, make two connections to the battery, and screw the relays/fuze holders to the fenderwell. Standard Bosch relays and ATO fuzes.

If you're in a hurry, I've noted that IPF and PIAA get a little spendy, and I've been given no reason to distrust Hella products. Most decent headlamp harnesses I've seen sell in the $50-60 range, but I just build my own (which is why I'm going to work on making one for sale.)

Thanks for the replies, 5-90 how much are you going to price your harness at? I'm not in a hurry cause I rarely do any night driving and its getting bright out so the sun sets later so there's no use for my headlights right now.

I'm still not entirely sure - but I'm thinking in the $50-60 range. That is, of course, subject to changes and material costs... Once I get a working prototype together, I'll be able to firm that up just a bit.
