What size is the lower castle nut on the knuckle for my '95 d30? Whole knuckle, rotor, brake bracket broke in my driveway, pics to come when I get home.

WTF?

Hardcore curb wheeling...

I must have taken that curb at at LEAST 1mph.

I have a donor vehicle available. My idea is to remove the two large castle nuts and slide out the whole unit and replace it with the donor.

1 1/8" is correct for the nut. Do the large bolts have to be pressed out? Is there another way to remove these?

Drive the hole thing down.
Not sure what you mean. COuld you be more specific?

I used a pickle fork to get it off. The studs are in there differently than I expected.

Okay, so its off. Now I want to know what could have caused this breakage. Were the calipers somehow torquing the knuckle and the metal finally fatigued?

Two of the bolts where sheared off. Now that I am thinking about it, I only found two bolts. The third one is missing.
