axle identification

ok so i know i saw a chart that had pictures of axles the other day on here. But i can't find it at all.

i have a late 86 early 87 with the 2.8 GM V6 and and auto tranny. What is the back axle? D35 or D44

Prolly a 35 as the 44's were in the 87-89 range. You can tell pretty easily as a 44 has a very angular look and the pumpkin is small in comparison. 35's are rounder.

you'll have a d35 non c clip, or an AMC20 if you had the HD axle option.
Likely it's a d35.
The AMC 20 has a bigger pumpkin and it has bigger axle tubes.
AMC 20 was an Mj only thing. I always forget that.

Dont mean to hijack but need to know asap....

90' laredo is it likely c-clip or not? how do I tell? It is a D35.

Pull off the tire and drum. If there is a hole in the axle flange then it is non c-clip, no hole it is c-clip.

thanks guys its a 35. dang ok well now i have to get bigger ones.
