I just called a wrecking yard here in So Cal for a trailer hitch. They want $100. That seems high to me, any feedback??

I have one here down in San Diego you can have for free off an 91

For not much more than $100 you can get a new one. Last one I got from a wrecking yard (a few years ago, I admit) was $25, with them taking it off.

Thanks, that is what I thought. A fellow XJ forum guy (4.SLOW) is giving me his "takeoff". I'm off to San Diego Weds to pick it up.

I just got one for my 95 XJ for $50--plus $15 for them to take it off [they had to use a cutting torch on the bolts]. I brushed the rust off it and painted it yesterday, and plan on installing it Thursday. I am thinking of using grade 8 bolts.

The local "you pull it yard" around here is asking 18$. Now granit, you have to take it off yourself...but I dont forsee any big issue with that.
