gears from yj 30 into a xj 30 ?????????

If I take gears out of a jeep yj dana 30 high pinion will they fit in a xj 30 ?

As long as it's a 1984 - 1999 XJ.

2000 and 2001 XJ's had D30 Low Pinion.

Botha are High Pinion & "Yes" it will work but don't think for a second that the gears wil be dialed when you swap them over. Housings have big changes in them from one to the next.
