8.8 gearing question

I'll probably be heading to the junkyard this weekend to look for an 8.8..i'd like to snag one with 4.10 gears..how common are they with 4.10s and how would i identify the gearing ratio?..are there a tags on those bad boys?

i just picked one up from a local junk yard for 200. it was out of a 96 exploder with 373 and a limited slip my tag had 3 L 73 on it good luck finding one with 410s

These tags are on the diff or on the door ?

Tags are on the diff. I don't know about the door. Call around ahead time. Usually the yard will know what they have. 4.10's aren't that uncommon. I bought 3 of them with 4.10's from one yard. The nice thing is if you plan to regear there is no carrier break. So... you can pick up the lowest mileage cleanest axle that the yard has.
