In the middle of changing the timing chain on a friends 2.5L MJ and ran into a possible snag.
Is the camshaft bolt on the 2.5 supposed to have a pin and spring like the 4.0L does? It has lots of noise from the chain area but the chain looks fine, a little wear but not much really. The bolt does not have a pin like the 4.0 and it looks like the bolt has walked into the cover a little. And the fact that the cover has the exact same "nipple" on it like the 4.0. Thanks a ton for any info.
