nope....the rear main seal sits next to the last main bearing which is in the oil pan. You have to remove the pan, then the last main bearing, then replace the seal which is in two pieces (some will tell you to replace with a one piece seal)
In the future give some specs on you heep i.e. year, size motor, mileage, transmission type, 2wd/4wd. It helps to get a better, more proper response.
