Home made roof rack writeup :)

A friend of mine put together a writeup on the home made roof that he put together for his 91 XJ.

He wanted to be able to put his 31" spare, a hi-lift, and a tool box up on the roof while keeping the rack relatively low to the roof.

Doesn't look bad at all in person on his rig. The main thing I like about it is that it sits so low on the roof. Most of the other roof racks that you can buy seem to stick out a lot.

It definitely serves the purpose it was intended for :shrug:

I won't be doing it anytime soon though, I'm pretty happy with my offroad-technology rear bumper carrier, not to mention the fact it has a spot already on it for a hi-lift.

Plus I wouldn't wanna try and move a 35" tire off the roof anytime soon.
