do I need shims?

I'm about to order RE 3.5 inch super ride with full leaf packs. Should I grab some axle shims while I'm at it? Won't I need them anyway to prevent vibes? What degree shim should I get if so? Thanks!

It is impossible to tell before the lift is installed but read here to see what you might expect

I'm running a 6-1/2" lift with no shims on a 90 Limited with no problems

What year is your Jeep? I did not run any shims with my 4.5" it had some vibs until Installed a SYE, now at 6.5" I run 4* shims works great. 96+ tend to have more vibs than pre96 Jeeps due the T-case flange.

IMO; for $30 pick up a pair of 4* shims and do it right. You may not need it, but since you'll have everything apart anyway . . .
