Swap in a front Dana 30 from 97TJ?

Have a 2000 XJ and have regeared the 8.25 to 4.10 and wanted to know if a 97 TJ 4cyl D30 (4.10) will bolt into my XJ? I want to use the axles from my original D30 XJ in the D30 from the TJ as well since mine are newer.

Any changes that have to be done? Any issues with doing this?

There are none at all, I ran a TJ 4.10 axle with my 93' for over a year.

one is low pinion (the tj) while one is high pinion (the xj) I thought.

My XJ (2000 and 2001's) are low pinions as well.

ther shafts in the TJ axle are the same as what you have in the XJ already. as you said your are newer but they are equal strength-wise.
