Help taking off front fenders: 89

I am trying to take off my front fenders to build new rockers and am having trouble getting the bottom screws out. The ones behind the front tires. First they are torx with a bunch of seem sealer inside them, not good. Does anyone know what size they torx they are, I just want to make sure I am using the correct size. Anyone have any hints on how to get these guys out.
I am about to just start cutting b/c them are pissing me off.

I believe they are # 27 torx and strip quite easily...

Grind them off and replace them.

Drill the head of with a 1/4 inch drill. Drill just enough for the head to pop off and then grab what's left with a pair of vice grips and turn it out.

Well I got those off, I just drilled them out.
But damn, what a procedure to get those things off! The whole front grill has to come off, headlights, markers, maybe bumper. All because three bolts need to be exposed.
Pain in the ass.
