what year did the d30 front axle change from low pinion to hi pinion?

I believe it was always a Hi Pinion unit from the Cherokee' induction in 1984 until 1999 when they went to a LP Dana 30. I could be wrong.

thank you, i want to get one with factory 4.10 gears and did not want to get a low pinion model.
