I need to replace my heater motor today and when i was searching on the net i came across a few people saying the A/C system needs to be drained?

Any truth to this?

Btw its a 92 xj 4.0L

If you're talking about the heater blower motor, then no. You don't have to drain the A/C.

Where are you from Canadianwheeler. Please don't say Canada :(
Well......since the location says "canada" I'm thinking that may just be the case..

That's a negative on purging the a/c to replace the blower motor by the way.
