shackles

i have seen some shackles that sort of unfold as the spring is maxed out. they are i guess like the zig zag set up but are separate for each spring. does anyone know what i am trying to explain? what are they called? are they any good? i have 3.5 inch re rear leafs and i am looking for a little more drop capability. thanks

Those are either z boxes or revolver shackles. check RE I think they sell the z boxes.

They have alot of pro's and con's. They tend to do funny things on the road, and in the right circumstance can fold backwards and destroy your leaf springs. I know alot of people that ran and loved them, but none of them run them anymore.

yes, i found them lol the z-boxes are what i was thinking about, are they any good? how much drop or flex will they actually give me?
