Axle Shims

I was on a road trip last weekend where we were driving about 85mph. I noticed a little bit of vibration. I have a SYE and CV shaft with 3 degree shims. I thought it might be front driveshaft u joints. I pulled that and drove it today and still have vibes. I measured the angles on the rear again and the driveshaft is 15 degrees. The pinion is also at 15 degrees. I know the pinion should point down 1-2 degrees. I've never tried having no shims with the SYE and CV shaft. I don't know that I've ever seen 1 degree shims. Wondering if I should pull the shims and try it out? Will it be worse if I'm off by a degree or 1.5 the other way or do I just need to find out?

2 and 4* shims are pretty standard items.Best bet will be to try one or the other and see what happens.
