I'm changing the TC lube this morning and the FSM calls for DEX II but the lube I drained out was clear not red. Any feedback?

It should be ATF in there. Someone maybe put some kind of synthetic or just the wrong fluid all together.

The color pretty much does not mean anything.
Pretty much a good DexIII ATF will work, Personally I run Mobil-1 ATF in all our jeeps. They shift sooooo much smoother with a synthetic and as soon as I changed to the mobil it was aparrent on the first shift into 4lo, NO BUMP and GRIND anymore.
