Ok, just want to verify I did this correctly.

Filled up the radiator through the upper hose, then jacked up the back end of the jeep, pulled the temp sensor from the back-drivers side of the engine, and filled that with water.

Everything should be ok right? Enough water in the block to heat up and open the t-stat?

ONly thing I might add is to let it get up to operating temperature with the nose down, leave it runinng and loosen the temperature sensor. You can see if air or fluid is coming out. This is the best and easiest way I know of.

I guess that did it. Let it run for 20 minutes, jacked up the back end, shut off the engine, then started to pull that sensor. Loads of coolant sprayed out, and I had never added any into the engine itself. appears all is well. thanks
