I put new Shocks on the front AND........

It's a night and day difference It solved alot of my unstable front end issues. Except for one or two things the steering is just kinda loose feeling ive checked all steering joints, ball joints, trackbar, and control arms, and no the frame rail has no stress cracks. The only noticeble movement I dont think should be there is that the frame end of the trackbar seems to have some up and down movement in it when steering is turned. I think the axle may shift just a tiny bit forwards and backwards. I know the body shifts side to side from the axle when turned back and forth, Which leads me to the trackbar. Am i right in thinking this?

Yup. Sounds like a worn trackbar joint. That would cause sloppy steering.

stock trackbar? bad balljoint on the end of it maybe.
