Just for giggles, take a torque wrench to the rocker arm bolts while you've got the cover off, and make sure they're all tightened to 19 pound-feet. No need to check lash - that's done by lifter preload.
Maybe make sure there isn't any sludge in the top of the head, and clean out the valve cover baffles (for CCV) while you're about it as well.
