TJ Throttle body

91-95 are different then 97+ on the TJ's. We have a 93YJ and the plugs are different on the connectors so the throttle body may fit but the sensors won't match the plugs, may be just a mater of replacing the TPS, MAP sensor, don't know. I'll look at my daughters 97TJ when she gets back home if the blizzard has not started...

Will a Throttle body off a 4.0L 91-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L fit a 1997 4.0 XJ?

The only difference between the '91-'95 TB and the '96+ TB is that the latter has the MAP sensor mounted to it. The IAC and TPS are the same.
The '96+ TB will work on a '91-'95 4.0 'cause you can just plug the MAP sensor vacuum hole but the reverse swap doesn't work.
You'll need a '96+ TB from a TJ, XJ, ZJ, or WJ.
