Old rockers out and new ones welded in.

so tell me what you think, i should be home soon so i can get more pics of the front and rer bumper, also im in need of some one to wheel with, im on whidby island and so far i have found nothing so help me out.

Thanks

I don't agree about the lockers. I have been running open diffs for 2 years and have not let it stop me. Have I needed a pull here and there? Sure, but it has made me a better wheeler by running open diffs. It makes you use more skill.

don't worry, i learned to wheel on open diffs and street tires in a manual trannied, carburated cj, pick your line and make it up, or the engine stalls, IMO though that if you drop the change on all the other goodies, lockers let you take on some pretty fun, and bigger, obstacles

would you be better off with this in the pic forum, oh yeah, i like the rim/tire setup, looks good.

Since you've got the skill, add the lockers. You can only have so much driving skills before the open diffs won't let you go any further.

that's why you need selectable lockers :D get stuck open? noooo prob. just flip a few switches and now you're locked!

that's what i try to do as much as possible. wanna make it as challenging as possible

Looks great! that's where I hope to be in about 9 months.

I don't agree with the lockers. With stock axels... even a 29 spline 8.25 C is getting to the point of asking for breakage with a full mechanical locker. You could probably get away with an aussie in the front, but a full locker in the rear and you're gonna break sooner or later (probably later). Of course, we're all doomed to break eventually.

SUGOI! SECKUSHII!

Why are you going to japan? You bringin your jeep?

I like the looks of it its great. Nice trim job.

I like the tires and rims, how do those Toyo's do? Expensive from what I can tell, curious if theyre worth it.

Chris

thats funny, i wheel the crap out of my 8.25 with a full detroit and 35's, no breaks yet.

Thanks for the comments guys, the reason for not puting in a full blown locker is the fact that i am going to japan and my sister will adopt the jeep, while im there. As for learnig more with out having it locked i think that i learned enough with my first cherokee, that was fun. I have to agree that the toyos are a little expensive but they are well worth it, they are so quiet and they air down nicly too. I have the 10" bisteins and they are showing about 4" or so of the piston but that will be perfect once i get the bumpstops in. Thanks for the comments guys and im still looking for some one the wheel with so get back to me.

Chris

Also more pics coming soon.
