89 AC / Heater Control Unit (Back Light) ?

Quick Question ? is the Control unit saposed to light up ? and if is dosent what would cause it not to light up ? Thanks ?

Yes, when the headlights/parking lights are on, jsut like the dash. There is a light bulb in the rear of it if I recall. Easy to get to. Bezel comes off, a couple of screws hold it on above the steering column I think, then it unclips from around the radio/HVAC control. Then, you can unscrew and pull out the control unit. You might have to pull the radio so you can unplug the HVAC harness. Havn't had it out in a while.

I just answered this question a week or two ago. A search will provide the best way to change this bulb.
