steering wheel swap 95 to 97+

The steering wheel in my 95 looks like crap and I want to replace it with one form a 97 or newer. It will have to have cruise control as well. Is there any way of doing this w/o bringing it to a mechanic? i have changed non airbag jeep steering wheels before but never one with a good air bag. Can I swap in the air bag module from my steering wheel in to thenew one? Or will I need that too. If so then i wont do it b/c they are expensive.

The 95-96 airbag is mechanically activated and completely self enclosed. The 97+ airbags have an external module that triggers activation. The two system are not compatible.
The steering wheel mounted cruise control systems are also non compatible.

I think you'll be able to mount the newer style steering wheel into your Jeep but you'll lose the use of those features.
