1988 Jeep Cherokee Steering Wheel

Need Help...i Took Off My Steering Wheel Because It Was Very Loose In The Column Area Alot Of Free Play. I Thought It Was Only Loose Bolts But No Such Luck. It Is Further Down. How Do I Get To That Part Of The Column? Or What Do You Think The Problem Is?
