My 92 has developed a low groaning noise when shifting between gears? (kinda like a groaning whiring sound when the clutch pedal is pushed in.
and stiff shifter engagement, any thoughts??
Thanks

You could try bleeding the hydraulic system at the bleed nipple located on the driver's side just behind the bell housing. Use a 1/4" flare nut wrench. If it's OEM, your '92 has an internal slave/throwout bearing, so the tranny needs to come out to replace the part. Cost is anywhere from $60-$90, but it makes sense to get best quality (NAPA). The job is doable with floor jacks and stands in a driveway or garage for a person with basic mechanical skills if you don't want to spend for a pro. Search here for good tips and writeups. Good luck.
