ax5 questions

well i am doing a full width swap, coilovers , 38's on my xj. i have an 85 with a 2.5, ax5, and an np207 t-case. well i plan on swaping in an np231 with a 4-1 kit in it. so my question is, will the np 231 work? an how many splines is an ax5

I am not sure exactly on the spline count, but it is the same for all of them, so a 231 out of a wrangler or cherokee with a 2.5l and ax5 should work.
