I want to install some 6" round fog lights onto my bumper in the stock fog lights location. Currently that spot is empty on my Jeep. My question is KC HiLighter kit for $120 versus an Autozone Blazer brand kit for $30..... why spend the extra money? Anyone use the Blazer brand?

I'm running KC's Titanium Slimlites and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a few freinds with the cheap knock-offs and Autozone versions, but they just can't compare to my KCs. My KCs also blow my freinds PIAAs out of the water. I will never by anyother brand light ever again.

On a side note, KC's lights have a 23 year warranty against everything except breakage from running them into something. I had a burnt out bulb a month ago, called them up and had the new bulb in 3 business days and all I had to do was send the old one back to them. Execellent lights and execllent costumer service. Spend the extra money and do it right the first time.

Here's what I'm running:

KC's or Hellas = No water intrusion better beam, brighter light, better reflectors.

BAJA / Rally = Water intrusion after a few hard rains, foggy lenses.

Best lights I've ever used. do a web search, you can find them cheaper than quadratec. I got mine for $100 with shipping. I got the 100 watt driving lights. If you want brighter, I suggest these, then get 130 watt replacement bulbs. They fit nice on the bumper, as they are nice and slim in profile.

Uhhh... The stock fog light location is underneath the bumper. You're going to put 6" diameter lights under there!?! They're gonna be hangin' down pretty low!!! I don't think I'd want to put anything but the cheapest lights I could find under there. If you get a good set of lights, mount them on TOP of the bumper!

My '95 stock bumper had plastic plugs in 2 holes on the TOP of the bumper. This is where I put my KC's. The plugs look like carriage bolt heads, but are just plugs that pop out from under the bumper. Holes were 3/8", perfect for light mount bolts.

I have a set of those blazer lights and they work fine. The have been on my pig for over a year and just recently I upgraded them to 100 watt bulbs and there still holding up well.

yeah...I have a 1992 XJ and I have the plugs on the top of my bumper...dumb question but also, there is no noticable loss of cooling from partial blocking the grill is there?

on my '95 Wrangler, I had 2 pairs of the Blazer 5 1/4 inch round ones (that were actually the oem lights Blazer made for Jeep) K-mart used to sell and never had a problem at all with them. -Loved them, they were cheap, too, like $15 bucks a pair. Of course, this was the good ol' days of the YJ!!
