upgrading dana 44 axles

Im wondering if anyone knows if the super 44 axle and locker kit will fit an 87 waggy rear end, i seen one place say it was for 97-05 tj's only and then another say it will fit any, is there a difference in dana 44's?

The super 44 kit will fit an XJ 44 axle. I have it in mine. The Tj and Xj axle must be the same width. But if you mean a "waggy"(non xj) rear end, I don't know.

Just be aware that the kit does not come with the correct axle retainer plates. The TJ retainer that the Super 44 kit comes with has a different bolt pattern. You can pick up a set of axle retainer for the XJ from your local dealership.
