Hello, been lurking the forums for a week or so and I thought I'd introduce myself, since I bought my first XJ on 12-02-05, and I may wind up picking yall's brains for troubleshooting info before too long. My new baby is a '90 Laredo (4.0L, auto, completely stock except for the cd player) with 149K on the odometer, paid $1200 for it, but the problems I've noticed are minor. I think the only misgiving I have so far about it, is waiting so long before buying one. Could be different in 6 months once the chemistry wears off, but I do think I've found the love of my life.

"y'all's?" Aren't you a bit far north for talking like that, or are you a transplant (like me?)

Thanks for the welcomes, I've been living in East Texas (until 2 months ago) for the past 7 years. I figured I'd move back up here since it's where most of my family has migrated to.

I've been alone with you inside my mind
And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
I sometimes see you pass outside my door
Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes
I can see it in your smile
You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
'Cause you know just what to say
And you know just what to do
And I want to tell you so much, I love you ...

I long to see the sunlight in your hair
And tell you time and time again how much I care
Sometimes I feel my heart will overflow
Hello, I've just got to let you know

'Cause I wonder where you are
And I wonder what you do
Are you somewhere feeling lonely, or is someone loving you?
Tell me how to win your heart
For I haven't got a clue
But let me start by saying, I love you ...

Hey Phil-

You didn't strike me as a "Lionel Ritchie" quoting kind of guy.

WTF, over?

I probably get as mild as Steppenwolf sometimes, so it took me a minute to recognise that song...

Yeah - variety. Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, Rammstein, Corrosion of Conformity, Stormtroopers of Death - yeah, I get some variety. Maybe not as much as you, but I get some...

I just don't get very mellow, unless I'm on massive doses of painkillers (and the Vicodin I'm taking for the fractured ribs and facial fractures just ain't massive.)

Boy this welcome thread has taken a bizzare twist now hasn't it?

What is so bizarre about welcoming newbies with 80's love songs sang by Lionel Ritchie. Seems perfectly logical to me.

Funny... now I got "The Doors" running thru my head...

Won't you tell me your name?

Hello, i love you
Let me jump in your game

She's walking down the street
Blind to every eye she meets
Do you think you'll be the guy
To make the queen of the angels sigh?
