What is the difference in ground clearence between dana 44 and chrysler 8 1/4 ?

Which vehicle can serve as a donor for dana 44, except XJ ?

There are many, the ones that come to mind are the MJ, and the Waggy with the wide tracks..

i thought the Scout axle has an offset center section. might be wrong.

Scout and Waggy axles have the wrong wheel bolt pattern. The only rear D44's that will bolt in are from another XJ or an MJ.
