Free Membership Offer...

this extends to anyone in Oregon that meets the following criteria:

1. Current military, or national guard service.
2. Not currently a NAXJA

member.
3. Would like to be a member, but due to finances cannot at this time.

I, as NWC VP Elect, will pay for this out of my own pocket.

Since I reside on the other side of the river, and see the Service men and women of the air national guard at least once a week, I thought I would extend this offer to those protecting our home, and way of life.

It isn't much...but its what I've got right now.

If you qualify please contact me. Should we have more than 1, I would like a bio, including rank, length of enlistment, current family, and hobbies.

I'd hate to have to choose...and may have to turn this into NWC poll should we have more than 1.

Please contact anyone that fits this criteria and let them know.

It would be an honor to have them accept.

This a great thing you're doing. I'm not in the military but most my family was/is. My father retired from the army after 21 years and is very active in the VFW right now. He's post commander of the local post, my uncle is the assistant or whatever, and my aunt supports a lot by helping at all the events and such. I volunteer my photography services to their events since its the only thing I can really do. I know the local post is paying life memberships for active duty coming home from Iraq currently who want to join and can't afford.

The object for me is to try and do this once every quarter that I'm VP.

I would like to add that an unnamed benefactor has generously contributed another membership to anyone serving in the Armed Forces, and that meets the current requirements.

This is of course pending verification...and will now be extended to ALL of the NWC.

Not just Oregon.

We're gonna kick ass next year...

good news....no i didn't switch to gieco. We have another unnamed benefactor that has informed me we have 3 free memberships to offer to ANYONE fitting the criteria.

Thanks to that member in helping make our little chapter a " happier place" to be.

am currently stationed in Astoria OR, on board the Coast Guard Cutter Alert, I have been in the CG for 7 years. I am an E-4 /Boatswain's Mate 3rd class. (one test to go for E-5)

I am married and have a 8 month old baby boy, I am 25 my wife is 21. We have lived here for only 4 months so far we like it, we were prevoisly stationed in Brookings, OR (southern coast).

Right now I drive a 2 seater 87 MJ with all sorts of stuff. my wife and I will be looking for a older xj for our family 4x4, if we ever get some money saved up
( maybe tax return) and my wife drives a ZJ
I would love to join .
