Dana 30 gear swap

Im doing gears in my 90 MJ, got the carrier and gears (4.10s) out of a 9(6) cherokee.

My question is how do you get the race closest to the pinion out without destroying that oil thing that is there to keep too much oil from going up to the seal?

You just buy a new one....when I did mine, it was only .80 cents. And it is called an oil slinger.
