A/C question

I have a 95 sport... and the A/c hasn't worked since I got it so I was just poking around today and found that the aux fan doesn't turn on.... So I was wondering if the fuse under the hood (those really big ones) can burn out and if so do u think this can be the problem? Of the a/c not turning on? Because nothing happens when I turn it to max or defrost....no dimming of the lights and such.

Not likely, the fan don't come on if the A/C don't work.
The A/C don't work if it's low on charge.
