Rear Hatch Clunk when hitting speed bumps

How do I adjust the rear hatch to close tighter? when I hit speed bumps going faster than 3mph it is quite a loud bang/ clunk from that hatch. It does seem to be closing all the way, and it's rather annoying. Washboard roads it does the same thing.

If its a 97+ you should be able to adjust some rubber bumpers that are on the body to stick out more or recede in further. I'm not positive on the 96- units(mine included).

Yeah the things should be right above the taillights IIRC.
