i know you can use the e-brake cables from a ZJ but does the year matter at all because i found an article that had the part number for a 98 zj and i jsut wanted to make sure before i pulled some out of a junkyard from a different year would it matter also goes the same on the proportioning valve will the year matter on that or does the only that matters is that it has 4-wheel discs?

Very few people would bother purchasing a set of ZJ cables when XJ ones can be modified. That's why very few people are going to be able to give you definitive answer about ZJ hardware. However, what I've found from google is that any ZJ with rear disc will work.

"I ordered a set from a ’95 Grand Cherokee ZJ, Mopar P/N’s 52008904 and 52008905." This was for a TJ.

I decided to go with Grand Cherokee cables.

what years for ZJ? ZJ's with disc brakes in the rear.

I have an extra set of those Lokar adapter things. Not sure if you need them, but PM me if you want them for cheap.

Are those the Lokar Cables that you used? How's that setup working out? Been looking at them myself, like the idea that you can set your own length for the cables to suit your amount of lift, etc...
